Convenient Virtual Therapy: Because Your Mental Health Matters

The COVID-19 crisis has been affecting people all over the world in different ways. At Beckloff Behavioral Health Center , serving the Dallas, TX area, we understand our clients are still in need of behavior therapy sessions as well as learning to cope and deal with anxiety, depression, family issues , divorce counselingADHD , and other challenges that families may face. However, with social distancing regulations in place, it is difficult to provide these services to our clients. Given these circumstances, we have developed virtual telehealth sessions to allow us to provide some "normalcy" to our clients.

Virtual Telehealth sessions allow you, your child , teen or young adult to connect with one of our therapists through a secure and private video connection . These virtual counseling sessions are equally as effective as in-person therapy, especially when it comes to anxiety, depression, and family dynamic sessions. During sessions, clients should find a private, quiet space in their home, and one that is free from distractions. Patients can use earbuds if they would like to maintain privacy during sessions.

Partnering Through Play With Parents

Our virtual pediatric therapy has been working well for many of our clients of all ages. It is truly heartwarming to see children getting their inner needs met without being physically there to help guide the child.

Moms, dads, and other guardians have been working hard, with our guidance, to help encourage positive sessions with rewarding outcomes. It is exciting to see the change and growth taking place in our pediatric clients by the gentle, loving hand of the parent.

Due to COVID-19, we have been providing play therapy without being physically present with the child. These virtual telehealth sessions allow us to form a partnership with parents. Partnering In Play With Parents, or PPP, allows us to train parents on some basic play therapy principles to assist with at-home play therapy sessions.

Play therapy sessions, completed virtually, allow us to work with the parent or guardian to set up a play therapy experience in their own home. This allows our pediatric clients to get their emotional and psychological needs met through the help of their parents, since we cannot be there.

Although we are presented with the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, technology has become a great asset during this time as it is allowing us to continue providing your child with the therapy sessions they need. During these sessions, one of our therapists is virtually present on your iPad or your computer while a parent is physically present. We assist the parent and help the child at the same time. As partners, both the therapist and the parent are working with the child to meet the child's needs.
