Assessment Services
Beckloff Pediatric Behavioral Center provides assessment services that combine formalized tests, clinical interviews, and observation to provide a full picture of your child's strengths and areas of growth. BPBC provides assessment services for the following areas:
Kindergarten Readiness Assessment:
This assessment gives parents a picture of their child's cognitive abilities, attention capacities, and pre-academic abilities to provide a comprehensive picture of the child's readiness to engage in the kindergarten experience.
ADHD/ADD Assessments:
This assessment provides a measure of child's cognitive skills related to sustaining attention, inhibiting impulsive behaviors, demonstrating cognitive flexibility, and the ability to plan for task completion.
Learning Disorder/Disability:
This assessment will measure your child's academic achievement, and help ascertain the presence of learning disabilities in the areas of math, reading, or writing.
Social Disorder Assessment:
This assessment measures cognitive abilities related to empathy, social perception, and cognitive abilities related to impulsiveness and social problems. This assessment will help you determine if your child may have various social disorders such as Autism, Asperger's, or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder NOS.
College Prep Assessment:
This assessment provides an overview of a student's cognitive and academic abilities, as well as a student's learning preferences. This assessment provides a profile of a student's strengths and areas for growth before college to help ensure success in higher learning.
The BPBC Difference:
While many tests just try to answer the question,”Is there a problem with my child,” at BPBC, we want to understand all the parts of your child, both the strengths and the areas for growth. We help you understand how your child is struggling in some areas and perhaps succeeding in others, and we provide a comprehensive plan for enhancing your child's strengths and managing their areas for growth, so that they can be put on a path for success for life.
